39. Lidl
German supermarket giant was brought to Cyprus in 2010,
brining high quality products at affordable prices. Since, it has become one of
the supermarkets of choice for many locals and tourists alike. By 2020 this well-established retailer opened

Ikea takes their innovative designs and sells
ready-to-assemble furniture to over 49 countries in 400 stores. Nicosia has a
full scale Ikea store that provides an online shopping service with affordable
delivery charges.

Cyprus has multiple communication companies that can supply
services including satellite, fixed telephony and broadband. CYTA - a
semi-governmental organisation that made the best out of the islands
geographical position by linking neighbouring countries via fibre optic cable,
subsequently making Cyprus a regional telecommunication hub. CYTA has recently
begun rolling out “fibre-to-the-home” scheme across Cyprus.
36. Paphos Zoo
Paphos Zoo was the first licensed zoo in Cyprus. Today it is
the perfect place for a family day out. The zoo is home to exotic monkeys,
meerkats, lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, camels, crocodiles and others.
Originally designed to house the owner’s private collection, the park later
opened to the public for educational purposes.
35. Limassol Port
Limassol is the home of the main port in Cyprus which makes
the transportation of foreign products such as vehicles very easy. Limassol
port has been operating since 1974. In 2020 a new ferry service will be offered
from the port of Limassol to Piraeus, Greece.

26. Erasmus+
Most universities in Cyprus benefit from Erasmus+. Erasmus+ is
a European programme designed to provide students with the opportunity to gain
greater knowledge and experience by merging programmes with other European
universities.

There are more options besides the University of Nicosia, Including
UClan Cyprus of Larnaca and Neapolis of Paphos. Most universities have a great
variety of courses, for example: Architecture, Engineering, Land and
Environmental Science or Economics, Administration and Computer Science.

Cyprus offers one of the top citizenship by investment
programmes in the world. For example, a family can obtain citizenship for life
within 6 months after investing 2 million in property. A Cypriot passport is

21. Low Transfer Fee
Property Transfer Fee (akin to stamp duty in UK) is usually
paid on the contact price unless the Land Registry department queries that
value. Land Registry department reserves the right to choose a value that they
consider to be a “realistic market value”. Nonetheless, transfer fees in Cyprus
are still very attractive and low. There are three brackets a property can fall
into, for an individual buyers. Transfer fee is calculated as 3% on the first
€85,000, another 5% on the next €85,000 and 8% for the remaining. Since July
2016 the transfer fee is discounted by 50%.
20. Immovable Property Tax
As of the start of 2017, the immovable property tax in
